Kalahari Getaway From the City (KHUTSE GAME RESERVE)

A 4 hour drive away from the city, this is an opportunity to explore the semi-arid Kgalagadi (often referred to as the Kalahari) terrain that dominates most of Botswana. A land of singular, often hidden beauty, the Kgalagadi in our native language is intensely alive with an astonishing diversity of plant and animal life. Common Kgalagadi animal species include the kalahari lion, springbok, gemsbok, eland, wildebeest, zebra, kudu, red hartebeest, duiker,steenbok, and other predators, cheetah, leopard, and both spotted and brown hyena.

Experience the cry of the Kalahari from Botswana's capital.

DAY 1 (Departure for Khutse)

Four or so hours from Gaborone is the Khutse Game Reserve leading to the Central Kalahari Game Reserve. Departure from Gaborone to the reserve will commence early morning; packed breakfast will be provided on-route. Camp setup, relaxation upon arrival then is lunch is prepared. A relaxing afternoon with exploration and game drives is the perfect way to spend the rest of the day.

DAY 2

A day filled with exploration of the kalahari, we will go on game drives during this time where we hope to encounter lions, Elephant, Giraffe, Khudu, Gemsbok, Ostrich, Red hartebeest, Wildebeest, Kori bustard, Steenbok, Springbok, Eland.

DAY 3

Early breakfast followed by a long morning game drive will sum up our trip. After lunch we pack up and head back to Gaborone ending our Kalahari Adventure.
